Beautiful Tulum is divided into two main areas: town and beach. Out of convenience most locals live in town, which is also where most Rent In Tulum units are located. Luckily, the beach is just 5 km away, with a modern bike path and easy car access that get you there in under 15 minutes. Surrounding town you can also explore cenotes, each as stunning and unique as the next, or follow another bike path to the Tulum pyramids. For a longer excursion, take a tour south into the UNESCO protected Sian Ka’an Biosphere, or go north to swim in the wild turtle sanctuary of Akumal. An hour drive west will land you at Coba, the largest pyramid of the Yucatan Peninsula, and surrounding cenotes, or drive a little further to the charming colonial town of Valladolid. No matter what direction you travel in Tulum, there is more to explore and fall in love with.
